Take the ASVAB: The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) measures aptitude to determine qualification for military service and specific jobs.
Complete the Physical Exam (MEPS): A comprehensive medical exam at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) to ensure physical fitness, including drug, alcohol, vision, and hearing tests.
Select a Job/MOS: Based on ASVAB scores and physical requirements, you will work with a military counselor to select a job specialty, known as a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) or rating.
Sign Contract & Oath: Sign the enlistment contract, detailing job, bonuses, and training, and take the Oath of Enlistment.
