RERUNS:

Attention all students: With the weather getting colder we are starting to see a lot of Sierra Nevada sweatshirts being worn. Please remember they are not allowed on campus and starting immediately if you are seen wearing one on campus, you will be sent to the office where you can call home to get something else to wear. The sweatshirt will be confiscated and you will receive a detention. Getting caught a second time will result in the sweatshirt being confiscated until a parent comes to pick it up.

This is a reminder, that Autrey Lane, between Las Plumas Avenue and Monte Vista is a no parking zone.  There have been complaints that people are parking in that area and law enforcement has been notified.  If you are parked in that area, you should move your vehicle, as soon as possible.

Key Club is holding our can food drive again this year.  The 1st period class with the most cans win a cinnamon roll breakfast!  So bring those cans into your first period class!

If you haven’t picked up your ASVAB scores, please be sure to do so in the testing room next to the library between the hours of 11:30-2:30!  The optional ASVAB Interpretation is December 14, 2010, 2:15 – 3:15, in room 1202.   DO NOT BE LATE!

Northwest S.P.C.A Fundraiser: The ROP Diversified Occupations class is coordinating the second annual Northwest S.P.C.A winter fundraiser. Currently, the SPCA has a lot of animals and is struggling to feed them. We have a goal of collecting 1,000 pounds of dry pet food. The SPCA also needs canned food, cat litter, animal toys, blankets, towels, and bleach. We will have bins around campus and in classrooms. We will also accept donations in room 1019. Our fundraiser runs from 11/29/10 to 12/17/10.

The Martin Luther King Jr Community Service Award Scholarship is available in the counseling Office. Deadline” Jan 7th, 2011

Did you know that Las Plumas has a “Safe School Hotline”?   You can help keep your campus safe by reporting potential school violence and serious crimes such as: threats, harassment, bullying, weapons, theft, vandalism, and drugs. All calls will remain anonymous. Remember, we want your information, not your name! MAKE THE CALL, stop the violence. The phone number is 538-2310 Ext. 221.
