School Announcements
FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS:   Wednesday, May 17th, at 7:00 p.m. at Las Plumas High School in the East gym.

Las Plumas and Oroville High Athletic departments are offering free sports physicals which will be valid for the 2017-2018 school year.  All returning students and current 8th grade students are eligible for a physical - both boys and girls.  All students must fill out proper physical forms with PARENT SIGNATURES before receiving their physical.  Forms are available at Las Plumas High School, Oroville High School, or on-line through the Oroville Union High School District website (under athletics).

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS AND EARLY GRADS:  SENIORS:   Please input your response by Friday, April 28th, 3:15 at the Google Classroom site.  Your input in the following areas:  the flag salute; the National Anthem; class history; and the names of teachers you would like to speak at graduation.  Voting for the teacher names will be next week after the final tally. 
 
 
NEED HELP IN YOUR MATH OR ENGLISH CLASS?

We offer after school help for English and Mathematics: 
Free math tutoring has begun on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:20 to 4:50 in room 609.  All levels are welcome.  You will need to bring your book.​
​​​Are you struggling in English?   Have a big assignment due that seems overwhelming?  Need help completing missing work?  Join us after school for tutoring Monday - Thursday​​​ 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. in the Las Plumas High School library.  We will have an LP teacher available to assist you with anything related to your English class.   Finish the semester strong...pass all your classes...get help today!

 
The Thunderbird Summer Basketball Camp will be held June 26th - June 30th from 9am to 12pm. All incoming 4th - 9th grade boys and girls are welcome to participate. Our camp is committed to the development of basic fundamental skills.  Campers will also be taught the importance of maintaining a positive attitude on and off the court. We take pride in teaching skills, sportsmanship, and team concepts.  This is a coed event, girls are welcome to participate.  Camp will be held at both Las Plumas High School Gyms. Each participant will receive a basketball, a basketball camp T shirt, a chance to win prizes, plenty of coaching, exercise and fun.  The cost of the camp is $55.  Pre-register by downloading and sending in the registration form.  You can also register last minute at the door. P.T.S.A. / SAFE GRAD NIGHT:
SAFE GRAD NIGHT PIZZA FUNDRAISER at Shakey’s every Wednesday in April from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Come support the Senior class of 2017!

SATURDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE 2016-2017:
Students who have unexcused absences are urged to attend Saturday School. Each Saturday School attended makes up for one (1) unexcused absence.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
  • You can sign up in the attendance office and drop-ins are also welcome.
  • Saturday School is from 8-12 and you must serve the entire session
  • You must bring school assignments to work on
  • Meet at the quad entrance nearest attendance office at 7:55
  • Snacks are provided: full rate- $2.00; Reduced- .30 cents; or Free

DATES:   April 29 and May 13.
